Greenboard animation video is the process that uses drawing and narration that plays back to create an animated presentation in a greenboard background. The procedure begins with topic and content creation to rough drafts animation creation.

Many companies and firms use greenboard animation-style videos to briefly demonstrate products and services, a big hit to millennial audiences.

How to make animated videos with a green screen?

If you want to describe a complex topic like blockchain technology or the impacts of insulin on the metabolic sugar process, an animated greenboard video is a good option. With an animated video, you can represent any scenario, even if it contradicts the laws of nature. The animated video style also makes the visual representation of abstract ideas possible.

Although this type of video is helpful for various applications, many people don’t know how to create animated videos. For instance, let’s say you want to explain how Bitcoin works to your colleagues or friends. In this case, you may thoroughly understand the topic of the video you want to create, but you may not be conversant with video content creation.

With the proper animation tool, you can create fabulous animated video content and convey the right message to your audience. This guide will teach you everything you require to create animated videos without spending hours learning complicated software.

What is a green screen?

The green screen, also known as the chroma key, is the green screen. It’s a unique visual effect and post-production method that allows you to layer two images or videos based on their color tones.

Green Screen allows video editors to isolate and remove a selected color from footage and replace it with another video or image. Chroma key and Green Screen are essentially synonymously used, as they both work on the same principle.

The term Green Screen became famous because a green background became the standard. However, green is chosen because it is different from human skin.

Chroma Key is called color keying, color separation overlay, or other terms for specific color-related variations. It is essential to remember that the process of chroma keying is not color specific. It can use any color in place of green as long as it varies from the objects being recorded in front of it.

Where is a green screen used?

Green-screen has many uses in filmmaking and animationAnimators take over once a scene is shot in front of the green screen. In this post-production phase, they use animation software to make the background color transparent so that only the actors and props are visible. Then they edit the video and use special software to animate backgrounds or separately filmed footage or images and place them exactly where the green screen would have been. This process is entirely computer-generated and requires highly skilled animators and CGI experts. Movies like Alice in Wonderland, The Avengers, The Hobbit, and Avatar were shot almost entirely in front of green screens. Thanks to constant technological innovations, computers have made it much easier to create such animations.

What are keyframes?

Using keyframes to control the scope of the animated object’s activity.

Understanding the different historical shots will help you know how to light things and people in front of the green screenSays videographer Gerry Holtz.” When the background shot is lit by sunlight from the left side, compositing with the green screen no longer works. The distance between the subject and the green screen should be as considerable as possible. There was no chance to make both look right.”

The lighting can be rendered appropriately in the new background clip by keeping the subject away from the eco-friendly screen. It also prevents the eco-friendly tones from highlighting the edges of the screen and the subject. Keep a distance of 3 to 5 m between the subject and the screen.

Remember that the environmentally friendly color will disappear.

If a person shows up with the colors on the green spectrum, the breast can use the Ultra Key device in the video editing software. Also, be on the lookout for colors with a slight green tint. I’ve seen someone use khaki with a slight eco-friendly tint. It looks translucent,” Apley says. Mirrors and reflective objects are also a problem. Take makeup powder with you to remove shine from your face and head.

The keyframe and green screen features are the most important features to use when creating animations. The following explains how to use the green screen and keyframe functions to create an animation on a custom background.

The Green Screen tool (Chroma Key)

Green screen or chroma keying is one of the most valuable features in video editing and is becoming an integral part of online video clip creation. An eco-friendly display opens unlimited possibilities for what you can include in your material when creating animated videos.

A green screen allows you to place a subject on a custom background. You need to follow a specific process to take the subject you want to animate to a new world using chroma keying.

Recognize and isolate a single color in your footage, then make it transparent so that your custom background shows through the areas. In most cases, the color that video makers isolate is green, but it can also be black, white, blue, or another unique color.

Utilizing the Chroma Trick attribute in CyberLink

CyberLink has a durable eco-friendly screen function that is easy to use when creating animated videos.

To include a virtual background to a clip or other subject with a green screen, first place the media clip containing the new background on Track 1 of your editing timeline. Then place the media clip with the green screen on Track 2.

After you’ve added your media clips to the Timeline, double-click the media clip with the green screen to open the PiP (Picture-in-Picture Designer) tool. After that, under the Chroma Key tab, click Enable Chroma Key.

Click the eyedropper icon on the Chroma Key tab to make the background transparent. Then Click your background to pick the shade you want to make clear and change it with your custom or online history.

If your green display is still visible through the custom background, adjust the sliders under the color wheel to make the new background visible.

How do keyframes work?

After changing your subject’s green screen background with a custom image or scene, you can now bring it to life with keyframe effects. A keyframe is an editing tool that lets you change the properties of a transition or effect in a specific time frame.

In other words, keyframes let you control the speed of a transition or effect and specify when and where the transition or effect begins and ends.

For each effect or transition, you need at least two keyframes in your editing timeline: one that starts the effect and ends it.

You can include as many transitions and effects as you like, depending on how complex you want your animation to be.

Using keyframes to control the movement of an object

You can also use keyframes to move the image within the frame. Include your PiP video clip or image to your editing timeline and click Transform Keyframe in the bottom toolbar to apply keyframe effects.

Rapid as well as slow zooming

To apply the zoom keyframe animation, decide the factor on your edit timeline where you want to zoom in or out. Use the Keyframe tool to set the scale of the image at the start and endpoints of the zoom. A scale change of about 10% per second is ideal for a slow zoom, but you can reposition the keyframe at the end of the zoom or change the magnification of the subject to achieve the perfect effect.

Motion tracking

To add this feature, choose Motion Tracker from the Tools pop-up menu. The Motion Tracker panel contains a video clip viewer and motion tracker controls. Click Add Tracker below the viewer. A rectangular box with resize handles appears on the video.

Utilize the handles to resize and position the tracker frame around the object you want to track and click Track to the left of the Timeline. Use the motion tracking controls to add a text element, image, video clip, or effect to track the object.

Object rotation

Keyframe effects include object rotation to convey motion or depth. Double-click the Timeline of the media clip or image you want to rotate to use this feature, and open the PiP Designer panel. Then scroll down and select Rotate.

Your clip shows a white square with a rotation circle in the lower-right corner. If you click the circle and drag your mouse left and right, you can see the object rotate.

To apply the rotation as a keyframe effect, move the object to its initial position and click the keyframe icon/symbol on the right to set the beginning point for the rotation. Then move the object to the position on the Timeline where you want the rotation effect to end, rotate it in the desired direction, and set the second keyframe.

The object should rotate evenly between the two keyframes you set when playing the video. You can also utilize the square to control the gradual change in size and position of the object within the frame.
